When naming my blog I realized it needed to be a calculated move. It needed to capture the main theme of what I will be writing about while also representing my philosophy on life. Most importantly I wanted to be able to inspire people to love their own creativity no matter what the outcome may be.
The name I came up with was LAYG Time...... What does it mean? Well, the first part is an acronym. L-learn, A-as, Y-you, G-go. Learn As You Go (LAYG). These four words/phrase sum up much of how I look at my past success, mistakes, and even demonstrates how I try to approach most aspects of my life and the projects I undertake. You learn everything as you go.
The phrase also touches upon a common theme that will be layered throughout future postings in this blog which will highlight the design and construction of my home renovations and anything else my wife or I dream up. We learn as we go.
I used the word "Time" in the name of this blog to make the name a bit more dimensional. This is done because when you try to say LAYG without associating it to an acronym it sounds kind of like lag, which one often understands to mean a lapse in time or delay. This relates directly to the aforementioned theme of this blog being about my home renovations because it is an understatement to say that my home renovations tend to have a bit of lag time before they are officially completed.
So there it is. That's what this blog will be about. The one thing I want everyone to remember is, "don't be afraid to be creative in your construction. Make mistakes. Learn from them. Laugh at them, or get pissed about the money you wasted, but always remember to learn as you go."
